Etsy // Mothers Day Gift Guide

I wax lyrical about Etsy and how fantastic they are for presents and cards for special occasions - over the years I have made over 200 purchases which should speak for itself - and I am going to do the same again as we are drawing ever closer to mothers day in the UK.

I am going to share some present ideas for all budgets later in the post (links below pictures) but I couldn't not start with the cards.

You will find a card for every type of mum on Etsy. Heartfelt and full of sentiment, to super cute to some bordering on offensive (depending on your mum's sense of humour)

These are just a few of my favourites.......

I think I will be purchasing the squirrel one for my mum and will be (subtly) point the YT one out to my husband as my daughter would love it !!

Now onto the gift guides

Mothers Day is always hard to put a gift guide together for as it is such a personal holiday.

Becuase of this, most items featured are ones that I would love to receive but the sheer volume and variety of gifts on Etsy means there really is something for everyone.

As always Etsy have put together their own gift guide for inspiration as well which you can find here so between us you won't be short for inspiration.

As always, you can find the link to each shop below the picture.

Does your mum love to wear Jewellery ??

Perhaps she would prefer a sweet treat

Or perhaps some art for the walls

I love looking for prints on Etsy.  There is nowhere else where you will find exactly what you want or find the person to make it for you.

Over the years I have purchased as many custom pieces as I have 'off the shelf' so if you cant see your mums favourite colour palette, movie or pop star ask the seller as they may be willing to do a custom piece just for you (and your mum)

Have you purchased your mum something from my gift guide or from Etsy

I would love to know

Products I have shared lately

I have been making more of an effort to share on social media but with that, the blog has fallen away. I am going to try and find some sort of middle ground so I thought I would start with things I have been talking about elsewhere on social media lately. To start with we have my new favourite book (albeit that it is for children). Mary and Frankenstein - Both the story and the illustrations and enthralling    And this is another gorgeous children's book that I got for the illustrations, though more specifically the colour palette. I think the pop of neon with neutral colours is something I want to experiment with.   what is your favorite illustrated children's book? Finally - my product of choice at the moment is Turner gouache though I am going to treat myself to some of these Shin Han hybrid paints this month to try them out I have set up an Amazon store with some of my favorites so it is easy for you to find everything I love in one place.   h...

Etsy Valentines Cards

I have never really 'done' Valentines day but each year I do swap cards with my husband and each year we try to out do each other with the cutest but most appropriate card. As always I always look to Etsy for cards as there is nowhere you are more likely to find the most fitting card - and if you can't find exactly what you want there will be someone who can make it for you. Over the last few weeks I have been 'favouriting' cards as I see them - some for my husband and some that I would love for me.  As always, I want to share the Etsy love as I cannot recommend the site enough or all the sellers I have had the please to deal with in the past. Mortica, kelly and Sandy from The Gin Fox  // Love is from Gin Bunny Prints  //  I love you to the moon and back from  StudioBoketto  // Lets grow old together from Too Wordy  //  Stranger Things card from  whatafabday  // My Won Won and Will you be my death eater from  T...
