Etsy // Mothers Day Gift Guide

I wax lyrical about Etsy and how fantastic they are for presents and cards for special occasions - over the years I have made over 200 purchases which should speak for itself - and I am going to do the same again as we are drawing ever closer to mothers day in the UK.

I am going to share some present ideas for all budgets later in the post (links below pictures) but I couldn't not start with the cards.

You will find a card for every type of mum on Etsy. Heartfelt and full of sentiment, to super cute to some bordering on offensive (depending on your mum's sense of humour)

These are just a few of my favourites.......

I think I will be purchasing the squirrel one for my mum and will be (subtly) point the YT one out to my husband as my daughter would love it !!

Now onto the gift guides

Mothers Day is always hard to put a gift guide together for as it is such a personal holiday.

Becuase of this, most items featured are ones that I would love to receive but the sheer volume and variety of gifts on Etsy means there really is something for everyone.

As always Etsy have put together their own gift guide for inspiration as well which you can find here so between us you won't be short for inspiration.

As always, you can find the link to each shop below the picture.

Does your mum love to wear Jewellery ??

Perhaps she would prefer a sweet treat

Or perhaps some art for the walls

I love looking for prints on Etsy.  There is nowhere else where you will find exactly what you want or find the person to make it for you.

Over the years I have purchased as many custom pieces as I have 'off the shelf' so if you cant see your mums favourite colour palette, movie or pop star ask the seller as they may be willing to do a custom piece just for you (and your mum)

Have you purchased your mum something from my gift guide or from Etsy

I would love to know

Throwback post WWCW // Denim Jacket with Patches

I posted this blog in January 2016 - expect to see an update on the Denim Jacket in the next few weeks My first ever style icon was Clarissa which is probably showing my age somewhat and I have decided that 2016 is the year I go back to my (un)fashion(able) roots and make clothes fun again. To do this I am going to ask myself...   WHAT WOULD CLARISSA WEAR?? Answer number 1 is a pair of denim shorts with patches which isn't really suitable given my age so the next best thing.. A denim jacket with patches along the lines of these... I have yet to get the jacket (off to eBay I go) but I have already decided on a number of patches and pins (all of which are from Etsy) which as always I wanted to share. Spring Summer 2017 Beauty trends

As I mentioned the other day in my Miles Donovan post now Christmas is behind us I am starting to think about my wardrobe (clothing and beauty) for Spring/Summer. As I am keener to experiment with my makeup than my clothing (office day job and strong reliance on black clothes that cover my belly) I paid most attention to the makeup looks and have I picked a few (more) of those that I would like to try to share with you. Do you change your look each season or do you have a go-to look you stick with? What is your favourite spring/summer product? Tessa
