Etsy Valentines Cards

I have never really 'done' Valentines day but each year I do swap cards with my husband and each year we try to out do each other with the cutest but most appropriate card.

As always I always look to Etsy for cards as there is nowhere you are more likely to find the most fitting card - and if you can't find exactly what you want there will be someone who can make it for you.

Over the last few weeks I have been 'favouriting' cards as I see them - some for my husband and some that I would love for me.

As always, I want to share the Etsy love as I cannot recommend the site enough or all the sellers I have had the please to deal with in the past.

Etsy : The perfect place for a unique Advent Calendar

Over the past few years, I have shared with you my favourite unique Christmas cards, stocking fillers and tree decorations, all available from Etsy This year I want to share my favourite advent calendars. Maybe like me, your children are growing up and so they will appreciate a unique advent calendar for the treat it is, or maybe you would like the joy your family members get from opening their gifts to extend beyond the one day, or perhaps (also like me) you just want to treat yourself a little bit. The possibilities with Etsy really are endless, and there are many more options than those that I am sharing, so I would highly encourage everyone to grab a cup of their favourite hot beverage and spend a fun 30 minutes persuing these sellers, and many more besides that. For the foodies, I have a list of food-based calendars that contain items such as pork scratching and cheddar cheese, alongside those containing the more traditional chocolate options. Now that we are post Christmas I am starting to think about the fashion and beauty trends for S/S 2017 and have spent many hours browsing Vogue for catwalk pictures from designers big and small. I was then separately browsing Pinterest (as you can do for hours on end) for collage artists (my new obsession) and stumbled upon this picture which I later found out was by Miles Donovan. (c) Miles Donovan (02/12/2011 20.20 UTC) Solar System (2) C/2011 Upon seeing this picture a light bulb went off in my head - the colour palette was nearly identical to that used by Nino Banukhadia in their Spring/Summer 2017 RTW collection. The varying shades of grey will cool yellows and khakis are beautifully offset by the warm reds used around the eyes. This is a colour palette I could incorporate into my wardrobe and makeup this season quite comfortably as it is not too far of a departure from the dark greys (and blacks) that I wear on a daily basis. As I mentioned the other day in my Miles Donovan post now Christmas is behind us I am starting to think about my wardrobe (clothing and beauty) for Spring/Summer. As I am keener to experiment with my makeup than my clothing (office day job and strong reliance on black clothes that cover my belly) I paid most attention to the makeup looks and have I picked a few (more) of those that I would like to try to share with you.
