My creative journey

Like 99.9% of the population, Stranger Things quickly became one of my favourite Netflix Shows along side  mockumentary what we do in the shadows. I think I have subsequently spent as long browsing Etsy to find show memorabilia  as I did watching the shows and as I prepare for a long weekend of Netflix viewing I thought I would share a few of my favourites to adorn myself and my walls. As usual, after seeing so manyA/W catwalk looks with gorgeous statement earrings, many of them tassels, I took to Etsy to add to my wishlist and what a wishlist it now is !!! 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 All of these pairs of earrings are gorgeous and will add that finishing touch to any outfit they are paired with. Do you have a favourite from my selection or from Etsy ? Please do share as I love finding new sellers. 

Every couple of months I try to change up my look (as much as I can, given practical constraints like money and expectations of my job) and to help me come up with some ideas I always put together a little mood board. In previous years A/W has been about the blacks and dark greys and browns. This year I want to try and add a bit more colour. Nothing drastic but maybe some rust's and purples and greens and maybe some nudes which seem to be EVERYWHERE at the moment. There were a few trends from the catwalk that I feel like I will be able to incorporate into my looks with little expense and I think these are the way I am going to add the colour. Bold earrings in beautiful earthy tones and touches of embroidery on my clothing or in my accessories are what I am going to aim to add to my wardrobe. And then there's the makeup which I haven't quite decided on yet but I'm sure black kohl will feature heavily !! How does your look change in the winter ? I...

As I have already alluded to, I love Etsy .  Whenever I want to buy practically anything, Etsy is always my first port of call. Makeup, clothes, art, jewellery, food - you name it, I have purchased it. And the latest Etsy campaign, Difference Makes Us , celebrating everyone's uniqueness is the exact reason I am obsessed with the site, and sellers thereon. Everyone needs to head over to the page and check out the campaign video - Just today someone commented on how my mug at work was so me. So I spent one lunch break considering what differences make me me and I came up with a few.... I am an accountant ……. but i'm covered in tattoo’s   I don’t like horror movies……. But I’m obsessed with Jack the Ripper. I have to dress smart for work…….. but I always add a twist The list is endless, just considering the differences between myself and my husband would result in a list that goes on and on but to name just a few I believe in ...

I turned 30 today. I decided having spent my early 20’s blogging about everything I loved (over here ) that I should do the same for my early 30’s.   My tastes in everything may have changed (or they may not have – I still feel 16 at heart) but I am keen to document my life, to share the little knowledge I possess and to grow amongst likeminded individuals.
